At the weekend Peter Hurst completed the Manchester 10k.
We wrote last week that Peter had enrolled to run the race and are pleased to report his success!
Affable Hurst finished despite the record breaking weather which brought temperatures of 23 degrees to the streets of Manchester.
“There were lots of people and celebrities at the event, all running in solidarity for Manchester. There was a moving minutes silence before each wave of runners and you could sense the togetherness amongst the crowd.
“It was really hot, humid and an emotional afternoon as people came together to commemorate last years atrocity.
“I got to speak to Sir Mo Farah, Tirunesh Debaba and Moses Kipsiro who were very supportive. It was a great day and a real challenge, with Farah surprising runners by sounding the gun for the pink wave.” Hurst explained.
All at the club would like to congratulate Hurst. Well done Peter!
