Onyango: More of The Same Please

Mancunians Coach, Lucas Onyango is asking for more of the same from his troops when they take on fellow table-toppers, North West Tigers today writes Benji Marshall.

Mancunians, who have been decimated this week through injury and wedding commitments, travel to an unbeaten Tigers team who are joint top of the table with the Manchester side.

Key injuries to many of the forwards will mean that that pack has to be shuffled to cover and the former Oldham and Widnes winger is asking for more of what he saw against Fitton Hill last week, of the players that are still standing.

“We were very committed in both offence and defence” Said Onyango. “Despite them throwing everything they had at us, we kept to the plan that we had set out, which resulted in them capitalising on their errors at a crucial time” He said.

But Onyango is concerned that injuries have taken their toll which could affect the game today. “Last week’s game has affected us and we have lost a few forwards who were influential last week. I’m asking the lads to give me more of the same that they gave us last week, That is all I can ask. If they do that, then we should put in a good performance.
