SEVEN more schools have signed up for Mancunians’ community programme and will begin to receive Rugby League coaching in the next half term.
The schools, which are a mixture of primary and secondary schools are situated in Chorlton, Fallowfield, Moss Side, Wythenshawe and Moston will receive six weeks of coaching and participate in a festival which will be held at Mancunians’ community venue at Hough End, South Manchester.
The schools have signed up after being impressed by the vision that Mancunians has for Manchester and because of the professionalism and philosophy demonstrated by the coaches , which is based on the Primary Rugby League philosophy, led by the RFL.
“I was very impressed by the approach that Mancunians have towards the children in our school when they attended to take a taster session.” Said a teacher from one of the primary schools who will receive coaching. “I particularly like the way that they encourage all children to who take part to be involved, and the small sided games that the children play mean that they all learn new skills. We are looking forward to working with Mancunians over the coming months. She said.
“Rugby is a completely new sport to our school and both boys and girls are loving playing it.”
