Rugby League Assistant Coach

We’re recruiting!

We’re looking for a Rugby League coach to assist our newly appointed Coach, Lucas Onyango. Lucas, who has a lot of recent playing experience with Widnes Vikings and Oldham Roughyeds is building a management team that can assist the club to meet its goals and if you’re looking to join a rapidly growing, ambitious club then this role is for you. Mancunians has grown by nearly five times in the last eighteen months and you’ll be joining a progressive, multi-sport club that has ambitions to join the semi-professional ranks of the rugby league in the next few years.

Your role will be to support Lucas and ensure the team is correctly prepared at training sessions and on match days.
You typical responsibilities will be to:

  • Work closely with the Team Coach to plan and assist to organise training sessions
  • Deliver specific skills activities during training sessions
  • Act as Team Manager on match days
  • Follow relevant policies and procedures
  • Any other tasks that the Team Coach delegates

Knowledge and experience:

  • Understanding of club’s code of conduct and RFL’s operational rules
  • Understanding of the club’s core policies and documents and the club’s governing document

Skills and behaviours:

  • Accuracy and an attention to detail
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Salary: £0.00 /year

Required qualifications:

  • UKCC Rugby League Level 1 (or willing to work towards)

This is a voluntary position but the club will provide a contribution towards your CPD requirements, free clothing and club rewards.
