Mancunians to Recruit Assistant Coach and Launch Second Team

Manchester based aspirational Rugby League club, Mancunians are seeking to add an assistant coach to their existing coaching team and are to run two adult teams in 2014.

Due to rapid expansion and an increase in playing numbers, the club will launch a second adult team that will play games in the North West Entry league during 2014. It will be the first time since 2011, when Mancunians were crowned North West Champions, that the club has run two adult teams.

Mancunians currently play in Division 4 of the North West Counties and the club has a desire to move up the RFL playing pyramid over the next few years.

Club Director, Stefan Hopewell says: “Our Head Coach, Mark Brennan has done a great job since his appointment last summer and is offering some excellent quality coaching which is attracting more and more players to Mancunians every week. This means that we need to recruit more coaches to the Mancunians and that we can offer playing opportunities to more players by entering a development team in the North West Entry League.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring coach to work alongside a very talented and well regarded coach and the successful applicant will be joining a club that is very much on the up.” He said.

The assistant coach position is a voluntary role but some expenses will be paid by prior agreement. It may be possible for the club to contribute towards the successful applicants’ UKCC level 2 qualification.
