Kangaroos and Get The Label to attend Mancunians Year 10 Rugby Tournament

12 November: Mancunians year 10 Rugby League tournament and World Record attempt!

Mancunians RL’s inaugural Year 10  tournament will be the largest schools Rugby League tournament ever held in the city of Manchester.

Official RLWC 2013 sponsors Get The Label will also be on hand to assist a World Record attempt by all the student players as they aim to achieve the highest number of consecutive passes of a giant rugby ball.

At least seven Manchester school sides, inspired by Rugby League World Cup 2013, will compete on Tuesday 12th November at Parrs Wood High School in Didsbury, beginning at 1pm.

The sides will receive special guest mentoring by players from the Australia national side who have just returned to their World Cup base in Manchester following a confident 50-0 win in Limerick against Ireland.

Junior Mancunians Rugby League sides from Chorlton, Whalley Range, Moss Side, Hulme and Didsbury will compete for the inaugural Junior Mancunians Year 10 Rugby League Tournament trophy to be presented by a selection of Australian Rugby League super stars.

Mancunians RL and Mancunians Handball coaches have been busy over the last year delivering sports sessions in schools across the city and hope the tournament will cap what has been a successful yearof growth for both sports in Manchester.
